Xbox continues to prepare improvements for its PC application, and its latest improvement includes a game hub where playable titles will have a substantial addition of data and features compared to the current state of the Xbox app for PC. In this way, the company seeks to enrich the Xbox ecosystem within computers.

Xbox has been providing service to computers for a long time, but it is true that its current interface does not have all the development that the current Xbox Series X|S have, with a polished system full of useful elements for players. Therefore, the arrival of this “hub” for PC games is an important step in Microsoft’s multichannel strategy for its video games.

More information in the Xbox app for PC

As Xbox has already officially announced, users of the Xbox PC platform will be able to enjoy a new interface within video games, with information presented in a more useful way, more data and curiosities that are not currently available, such as friends who have played the video game you are browsing, key events, or extra information about achievements.

Currently, many essential elements of each video game can already be consulted, as well as interesting additions such as the duration estimated by users of “How Long to Beat”, where, based on their experience, players indicate the time it took them to finish a game. However, with the new improvements being tested, the interface for games in the Xbox PC application will offer a new qualitative leap.

A multichannel service

After a busier than usual week in terms of the future of Xbox, Phil Spencer cleared up many doubts about the long-term viability of Microsoft’s gaming business. In fact, more than ever, the company’s goal of turning its products and services into a multichannel system with which its creations can be enjoyed in as many formats as possible became clear.

A clear example of this is that, for example, Xbox has been treating the console and PC format equally for a long time, making both systems converge as if they were one. Little by little, they have also taken steps forward in other key services, such as game streaming in the cloud, or, as announced in recent weeks, bringing some exclusive Xbox titles to other competitors, such as PlayStation or Nintendo.
