In a somewhat unexpected move, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection will be withdrawn from sale at the end of this month. This is clearly indicated by the “End of Sales Notice” posted on the game’s Steam page. However, for now, this end of sales will only affect Japan.

Specifically, it will be from Friday, March 29th when The Cowabunga Collection will no longer be available in Japanese lands. This measure will not affect those who have already purchased their copy, as it will continue to be available for download on Steam from the library.

The Cowabunga Collection was released in August 2022 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC, so its delisting is quite surprising. The publication Game Informer contacted Konami, the publisher of the collection, to inquire if there were plans to remove it from other regions. For now, it seems that the bad news is limited to Japan and that it will not be removed from any other store.

The Cowabunga Collection brought together in one place several of the most iconic games of the franchise released on NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy. It also added online functionalities to titles such as TMNT: Turtles in Time, TMNT, TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist, and TMNT: Tournament Fighters (SNES).
