Although there is no more successful game than Palworld in 2024, its creators do not see it as a bad thing for a third party to buy them in exchange for a lot of money and financial stability. How bad the video game sector must be.

This has been stated by the CEO of Pocketpair and creator of Palworld in a new interview with Bloomberg. According to Mizobe, he wants to bring the title to additional platforms beyond Xbox Game Pass and Steam. The CEO has also revealed that his studio is open to partnerships or acquisitions.

Given the enormous success on Game Pass (and the wave of studio acquisitions by Microsoft), many considered the possibility of Pocketpair also being acquired by Microsoft.

However, for now, that’s not the case, as Mizobe has stated that their studio is not in talks with Microsoft to be acquired. The CEO has also mentioned that Pocketpair intends to remain a small studio that wants to create several smaller-scale titles.

Reach more platforms and find a buyer

“We are and will continue to be a small studio,” Mizobe said in the interview. “I want to make several small games. Big-budget AAA games are not for us.” Interestingly, the CEO has expressed that, although he wants to make other smaller titles, he is not convinced that they will be as successful as Palworld.

The CEO also believes that including multiplayer in new games is essential for success. “Games are more fun when played with friends,” says the CEO. “A game without a multiplayer mode doesn’t make sense in the era we live in today.”

We are pretty sure that many players would like Palworld to come to PlayStation 5, and possibly also to Switch. We’ll see if the title arrives on all the promised platforms.
