That he wasn't dead, no no, that he was free to play.

You may not have heard of ‘Gigantic’. How could you, if it was only alive for a year? From July 20, 2017 to July 31, 2018, this MOBA failed to gather a fan community despite the originality of its gameplay, it was fatally wounded and died before it even started. But now, like the best things in life, it has a second chance to everyone’s surprise.

Gigantic and yet so small

And curiously, ‘Gigantic’ will go the opposite way of most current games: it started as a free-to-play in 2017, but now, with ‘Gigantic: Rampage Edition’ it will become a paid game, costing 19.99 euros and will not strive to be a service that updates over the years. Everything backwards, indeed, but precisely in this strange environment it has chances of surviving.

It will be released on April 9th in the United States (no date yet for Spain) and will have all the content that was released back then plus some new ones, prepared for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It should be noted that the previous version only appeared for PC and Xbox One, which can give several ideas about the reason for its little success. No hard feelings, Xboxers.

In this case, the responsible ones have been Abstraction Games, who have already said that they will honor what the original developer, Motiga, wanted to do (with little success). There will be a total of 25 heroes, two new maps, new free costumes, and much more. And above all, it leaves the creators with a feeling of a second chance, even if it is late. Not everyone has it, so the only question remains… Will they know how to take advantage of it?
