Apple may be preparing to shake up its usual iPhone Pro color lineup. While the iPhone 17 Pro is still months away from its official reveal, a recent leak suggests that a new “Sky Blue” color could headline the September 2025 launch. If true, this would mark a rare alignment between Mac and iPhone aesthetics, as Sky Blue already debuted on the latest M4 MacBook Air.
Sky Blue may be Apple’s special color for 2025
According to reliable leaker Majin Bu, multiple prototypes of the iPhone 17 Pro have been manufactured in different finishes, with Sky Blue currently standing out as the top choice. This new tone is described as more vibrant and elegant than the previous Sierra Blue seen on the iPhone 13 Pro.
Apple tends to rotate a single “special” color for its Pro models each year—last year it was Desert Titanium. Choosing Sky Blue this time would be a strategic move, especially after its warm reception on the MacBook Air. It could also signal a more cohesive design language across Apple’s product range.
Still, it’s important to remember that Apple often tests several color options before settling on one for mass production. Although Sky Blue appears to be the front-runner now, the final decision may not be locked in yet.
For Apple fans hoping to match their devices in 2025, this color crossover might be more than just a coincidence—it could be a calculated branding move. If Sky Blue really does arrive on the iPhone 17 Pro, it could become the most talked-about finish in years.
