Not long ago, we had the opportunity to see Alan Wake 2 for the first time. The video game developed by Remedy Entertainment is one of the strongest contenders for this year, as its release is scheduled for October 17, 2023. If there was still anyone with doubts about getting it, this new trailer has cleared them all.

Good old Sam Lake, the director and well-known for portraying the incomparable Max Payne, took the stage alongside Geoff Keighley to discuss all the new features the game will have. To begin with, there will be two playable characters, Alan Wake and Saga Anderson. This was already known, indeed, but the novelty is that we will be able to control both characters in a balanced 50-50 split, meaning that half of the game will be played with one character and the other half with the other.

According to the information revealed, Anderson will investigate what is happening in the small town of Bright Falls, while the writer Alan Wake will have to escape from the nightmare he is immersed in. Only through the collaboration of both parties can the mystery be solved, although there is an additional detail.

As stated by the development team, the game will be 50-50, but players will have the option to complete each character’s adventure in one go if they wish. In other words, users can choose whether they prefer to alternate between the stories of the two protagonists or complete each one separately.

Remedy Entertainment’s title will be released on October 17 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. There won’t be a physical version available, as the game will only be purchasable digitally.
