The New Look is the new hit series from Apple TV+ that will focus on the fashion industry. Specifically, it will center around two major stars in the history of the sector: Christian Dior and Coco Chanel. In the first trailer of the series, we can see its two main protagonists, Ben Mendelson and Juliette Binoche:

The fashion industry against the Second World War

The New Look is a series created by Todd A. Kessler, the mastermind behind Bloodline and Damages. But beyond being a story about fashion, it touches on intriguing topics such as World War II and 20th century politics in France. Its synopsis makes it clear that it can be a trend-setting series, jokes aside:

“This exciting series reveals the surprising story of how fashion icon Christian Dior and his contemporaries, such as Coco Chanel, Pierre Balmain, and Cristóbal Balenciaga, overcame the horrors of World War II to usher in the modern era in the fashion world.”
