Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the upcoming major game in the franchise and, as such, is highly anticipated. With its release date approaching rapidly, not hearing news about it is likely to be good news. However, something has happened, and we do have news. Against all odds, they are not bad news at all.

Despite Assassin’s Creed Mirage initially being slated for release on October 12th, its launch date has undergone a change: it will now be released a week earlier on October 5th. This means it will arrive slightly sooner than expected, delighting fans of the franchise.

We already know a great deal about the game, as we’ve shared in the past. The main character is named Basim, and the game will be much more focused on narrative and action-adventure rather than the exploration emphasis seen in recent franchise installments. While it will feature an expansive city, they have aimed to create a denser and more immersive Baghdad that reacts to our actions and decisions, rather than simply presenting a vast map to explore. These changes align it more closely with the franchise’s first two entries than with later, perhaps more well-known titles.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Luna, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. And with its release date slightly moved up, you’ll have to wait one week less than anticipated to enjoy this promising return to the roots of the assassins.
