Squads will be a big part of Call of Duty: Ghosts. As opposed to creating one character and reaching Prestige multiple times, Call of Duty: Ghosts allows players to create squads.
Along with squads, Infinity Ward revealed a new weapon class called Marksman. A midway point between assault and sniper classes, this new class allows players better use of scopes for up close and ranged combat.
Containing up to 10 individual soldiers, players can create different soldiers. Squads allow players to create multiple types of classes to play with. It also opens the ability to learn all the different classes that Call of Duty: Ghosts offers without being stuck in one class all the time.
You earn experience points (XP) through multiplayer. XP helps your overall score, but you will also earn “Squad Points.” These points are used to unlock new weapons and streaks to use in the game. Attachments and disposables will not cost squad points. This means that if you earn enough points, you can unlock one of the more powerful weapons earlier, rather than have to wait for the proper level to be reached.
Created soldiers Prestige separately and you know retain all unlocks once you reach Prestige.
