On social media, the publisher posted a parody image that replaces the villain of Clair Obscur with one of the iconic portals from Oblivion, ironically commenting: “oh my god, this is like barbenheimer”.

The gaming community has largely reacted with support for the studio. Several users have expressed on platforms like X their hope that the new release is not overshadowed by Oblivion. One user commented: “I really hope this shadowdrop doesn’t take away potential players from you,” while others have taken a more humorous tone, referring to the situation as Clair Scrolls: Oblivion 33.
