Well, the mystery is over. Call of Duty 2023 will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Yes, we already knew this from rumors and leaks, but now we have the official confirmation from Sledgehammer Games, the studio in charge of developing the game, and an important detail: it will be released on November 10, 2023.
What has been shown is the typical teaser of a few seconds where the name of the game from Activision Blizzard appears, as well as some of the most well-known faces within the story. Once it’s finished, the rest is just revealing the official release date for the month of November, a usual period for the franchise.
The release date is completely in line with the information leaked a few months ago. If we stick to that, the day and month of release were nailed. Therefore, the rest of the dates assigned for the tests would also be the same. They are as follows:
- Beta Week 1 (PS4/PS5) – October 6th, 2023 to October 10th, 2023.
- Beta Week 2 (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – October 12th, 2023 to October 16th, 2023.
- Campaign Early Access (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – November 2nd, 2023.
- Release (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC) – November 10th, 2023.
- Season 1 Launch and New Warzone Map – December 5th, 2023.
We’ll have to wait to learn more about this third installment of Modern Warfare after its reboot. What was initially intended to be downloadable content has turned into a full-fledged game.
