Quick, short and to the point. Today there will be a great solar eclipse in a large part of North America, a phenomenon that always catches the attention of everyone present due to its spectacularity. Although it lasts very little, those seconds are eagerly appreciated, but how does it take place? Well, a user has decided to explain it by using Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon for Nintendo 3DS.
Through a fun video that has gone viral – it already has more than three million views – user FTW Arts has recreated what today’s solar eclipse will be like. How? By using the Pokémon Sun cartridge as a stand-in for the Pokémon Moon cartridge.
The joke is silly, but it explains perfectly what a solar eclipse is, that is, when the Moon passes in front of the Sun and comes between the Earth and the Sun.
With over 30,000 retweets and 170,000 favorites, the tweet is on its way to becoming one of the most viral ones that Twitter has in terms of video games.
