Google’s photo sphere technology is now available on the iPhone. The feature has long been an Android exclusive, letting users create a photo with 360 degrees of view.

As on Android, Photo Sphere Camera users can upload their creations to Google Maps to share with the world. User created images help Google show off locations around the world with a Street View-like effect.

Taking a photo sphere is easy. Center your camera around the dots on the screen. Once lined up, a photo is taken automatically and the app will prompt you to rotate your body to line up with another dot on the screen. Once you have enough snaps, the app will begin processing the photo sphere.

Processing the photos take a fair bit of horsepower so the app only supports the iPhone 4S and higher. The app is free to download in the App Store.
