This situation is causing delays and cancellations in many current productions, from Netflix and HBO Max series to highly anticipated movies. And Disney, of course, was not going to be less in this struggle. The studio has announced many delays, and one of them is one of the most anticipated releases in recent years: Deadpool 3.

Deadpool 3 won’t arrive in May 2023… but when will it?

Through a report, Disney has shown the upcoming releases of the studio, both in terms of original movies and Disney Plus series. These releases cover the first half of 2024 and, to the surprise of many, Deadpool 3 is not among them.

Although the film began shooting and was scheduled for a May 2024 release, it finally looks like it won’t be. Filming had to be halted due to the active strike, and given the uncertain future of these claims, Disney did not want to take any chances on a release that may not come when they want it to.

Among other changes, Disney has already announced that they will have fewer productions in the near future, so we will be able to leave aside the current overbooking of releases to focus, as in the past, on a few releases that leave us wanting more.
