Blizzard Entertainment announces the return of the Lunar Awakening event in Diablo IV, an event that celebrates tradition and community similar to the World of Warcraft festivals. This event will begin on February 4, 2025, at 19:00 (Spanish time) and will end on February 18 at the same time, giving players the opportunity to gain 100% extra experience and access special rewards.
A new event designed for the game’s large Asian community
During these two weeks, players will be able to interact with Ying-Yue in the Lunar Night Market to exchange ancestral favor for decorative rewards and enhancements to their powers. According to Blizzard, the Lunar Awakening coincides with the celebration of the Chinese New Year, which will include themed elements in the game, such as lunar shrines and renewed aspects in the Sanctuary environment.
The event not only provides experience bonuses but also the possibility to activate enhanced effects on the character’s powers. By activating the lunar shrines, players will experience a boost in their game performance for short periods, allowing them to progress more quickly and earn rewards as they increase their reputation level.
Since its first edition a year ago, the Lunar Awakening has resonated with the Diablo IV community, becoming a tradition eagerly anticipated by players. Blizzard thus continues its legacy of creating events that foster a sense of community, similar to what players experienced in the past with World of Warcraft. The anticipation builds as the start date of this much-awaited event approaches, promising to strengthen the bonds among the game’s enthusiasts and celebrate the rich cultural heritage that inspires it.
