Disney Dreamlight Valley has announced the arrival of its upcoming update, Wonderland Whimsy, scheduled for April 23. This update introduces the realm of Alice in Wonderland, where players will be able to unlock and add two new characters: Alice and the Cheshire Cat. Although specific details about the requirements for them to move to the valley have not been shared, gameplay is expected to focus on iconic features of the work, such as the Queen of Hearts’ maze and organizing a typical tea party.
A new mechanic to improve crafting
One of the most notable new features of this update is the addition of an “undo machine,” which will allow players to revert created objects back to their original materials. This machine is unlocked by developing friendship with the Cheshire Cat, which will surely lead many players to invest time in this relationship, given its usefulness for organizing inventories and materializing old construction projects.
In addition to these new elements, improvements will be introduced to the quality of life in the game, such as the option to spend Dreamlight to acquire storage upgrades in small and medium chests, as well as redesigned placement grids for furniture. These improvements will make it easier for users to organize their creations, from meals to decorations.
The new starlit path, Garden of Whimsy, will also be part of this update, featuring themed items from Alice and Disney fairies. During its activation, players will be able to host tea parties in the valley and acquire a companion animal: the butterfly Absolem, as well as other adorable decorations like flower gazebos and mushroom tables.
Finally, Star Wars fans also have reasons to celebrate, as premium content will be added to the store, including an R2D2 companion and a lightsaber accessory, along with an exclusive photo pose. This update promises to enrich the experience of Disney Dreamlight Valley with a mix of magic and nostalgia.
