Are you playing Hogwarts Legacy? The video game of the magical world of Harry Potter has already exceeded 15 million units sold, being an undisputed success in recent months. In addition, last week it was also re-released for last generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), so we can expect sales to continue to increase.
A success that could have already set in motion the development of its next part, Hogwarts Legacy 2, or another game of the Harry Potter saga, as was recently seen in a job offer published by Warner Bros. But the good news does not stop there, as an “old friend” of the saga could collaborate with Hogwarts Legacy in the coming days.
Tom Felton, who brought Slytherin wizard Draco Malfoy to life in the Harry Potter films, has appeared in a teaser posted on Hogwarts Legacy’s Instagram account (@hogwartslegacy), where he answers Sebastian Sallow, a featured character in the video game. After Sallow introduces himself, Malfoy turns his head, looking at the camera and replying “hello, Sebastian.”
The video only shows this brief conversation, although the description of the publication provides some more information about this enigmatic collaboration between the famous actor of the Harry Potter films and Hogwarts Legacy: “So it’s true. Tom Felton has arrived at Hogwarts. Come back on May 9 at 9 am PT (6 pm in Spain) to see him“.
Knowing that the plot of Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the late 19th century, a century before Draco Malfoy is even born, it is unlikely that we will see Malfoy in the video game. Most likely, Felton’s collaboration with the Harry Potter magical universe will consist of a streaming appearance on Avalanche’s Twitch channel or some other such promotional action. Still, will we get to see any Malfoy ancestors in a future Hogwarts Legacy DLC?
