The much-awaited game, Elden Ring from FromSoftware, was released on Friday, and since the release, players have flooded the servers to give the game a try. As is normal after a first release, some bugs and issues were picked up on PS5 and PC. FromSoftware just released a patch to address some of these issues.
This latest patch follows one released a few days ago, patch 1.02. In comparison, this latest patch is a minor one but addresses a few bugs and issues that PC players especially would be thankful for.
On PC, patch 1.02.1 fixes start-up issues, improves mouse operations and reduces the number of files needed when entering a new area in the game. On PS5, this patch fixes the bug that caused the game to close unexpectedly.
Here are the full patch notes for this latest patch for Elden Ring. As we mentioned, this is a minor patch that just addresses a few specific issues.
PC
- Start-up issues related to Easy-Anti-Cheat (EAC) have been improved.
- Mouse operation improved.
- Reduced the number of files needed to load whenever the player enters a new area.
PS5
- Fixed a bug that caused multiple unexpected game closures.
This patch will automatically download through Steam and on PS5 if you have the setting enabled. Alternatively, the patch is also available for manual download.
