It’s clear that “Elite” isn’t the highest-quality series in Netflix‘s catalog. However, since its first season premiered in 2018, the show has continued to release new episodes. Created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona, it has been churning out new seasons for years, proving that stretching the teenage drama formula always works. But this has come to an end, as they have announced that the eighth season will be the series’ last.
Alongside the trailer for the seventh season, the creators have announced that the adventures of the platform’s most elite characters will come to an end after one more season. Although for this new set of episodes, they have a few surprises in store, such as the return of Mina el Hammani as Nadia, a role she hadn’t reprised since her character concluded her original story in season 4.
The rich teenagers bid farewell
But what can we expect from the next season of Elite? Well, as it couldn’t be otherwise, everything we have seen from it during the previous batches of episodes: lots of sex, drugs, parties, and some tension with murders in between. All surrounded by a great dose of moral superiority and excesses that so well portray the Spanish upper classes.
In this new season, we will also see the addition of actors Ane Rot and Nuno Gallego, in addition to seeing Omar Ayuso reprise his original role after his appearance in this season. As for the team behind the series, the directors will be Daniel Barone, Ginesta Guindal, Jota Linares, and Elena Trapé, who have already been involved in previous episodes. Undoubtedly, the ending promises to be more of the same that we have already seen… although perhaps amplified for the highly anticipated occasion.
