This MMO available on Steam Next Fest wants to compete with WOW and FF14

The next game that has captured attention at the Steam Next Fest event is Fellowship, an indie title that transforms the dungeon experience of popular MMO games like World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy 14 into a standalone multiplayer adventure, without monthly subscription fees. Developed by Chief Rebel, Fellowship aims to capture the essence of WoW’s scalable Mythic+ difficulty system, allowing players to face challenges as a team.

The dungeon parties are made up of four players: a tank, a healer, and two damage dealers. Players can choose from various heroes that embody classic fantasy archetypes, such as warriors, paladins, monks, wizards, barbarians, and druids. This diversity of characters provides a rich experience in strategy and teamwork, necessary to overcome the dungeons.

A MMO worthy of 2025

Fellowship will be available to play in an open trial during the Steam Next Fest, which will take place from February 24 to March 3, and will offer six different heroes to choose from. Although it is unknown if there will be a large audience for this new independent endgame experience, it seems that the game has managed to gather the essential components to attract both veterans of the genre and new players. Currently, no definitive release date has been announced.
