Activision and Infinity Ward finally showed off the mutliplayer aspect of Call of Duty: Ghosts. There’s a lot of big news, including playable female characters, account transfers, and new character customizations. Here’s everything you need to know about the multiplayer in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer built on “3 Pillars“
Infinity Ward announced that the multiplayer for current and next generation versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts was built on 3 pillars.
Player customization expands in Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer, including playable female soldiers
Class customization has existed in the many versions of Call of Duty multiplayer but what’s been missing is character customization.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will offer expanded character customization options that haven’t existed before. When creating a character for Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer, you are given options to swap body parts like the head and body frame. These changes are not purely cosmetic as they will affect the gameplay during matches.

Call of Duty: Ghosts introduces Squads and custom unlocks
Squads will be a big part of Call of Duty: Ghosts. As opposed to creating one character and reaching Prestige multiple times, Call of Duty: Ghosts allows players to create squads.
Call of Duty: Ghosts Squad modes offer solo, co-op, and competitive gameplay
Along with new online multiplayer modes in Call of Duty: Ghosts like “Cranked” and “Search and Rescue”, Infinity Ward announced that there will be a focus on utilizing your created squad for battle against friends, enemies, and the game’s improved A.I. The best part of these modes is that you are still able to earn XP.
