On June 21st, International Yoga Day is celebrated, and Apple is commemorating the occasion with a special Yoga challenge for Apple Watch users. By participating, users can win four new animated stickers, in addition to reaping the health benefits. But how can we obtain these exclusive stickers?

A small recognition for a much larger award

Apple invites us to participate in International Yoga Day by completing a short yoga session on that day. The idea, as with many other challenges Apple launches on special occasions, is to encourage us to stay more active while “rewarding” us with a small recognition. The true reward, however, lies in adopting a healthy lifestyle, something that the Apple Watch has been supporting us with since its first version.

“Join International Yoga Day. On June 21st, do a 10-minute or longer yoga workout, and you’ll win this prize.”

To track the time, Apple reminds us that we can use any app that adds workouts to the Health app. It’s worth noting that the Apple Watch includes a yoga workout that calculates our exercise level during the session. Additionally, we can access a catalog of instructor-led yoga sessions through the Fitness+ service on our iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV.

Once we’ve completed a minimum 20-minute workout, the stickers will appear directly in the Activity app within the Messages app. From here, we can share them in conversations and even drag them to third-party apps to send them there. iOS 17‘s update takes this a step further, allowing the creation of animated stickers from any photo. Finally, we will also see the prize itself reflected in the Activity app on our iPhone and Apple Watch.

We don’t need to be experienced yogis to participate in this challenge; the main goal is to encourage more people to practice yoga and experience the benefits of this ancient wellness practice. And on June 21st, there’s a reward waiting for us.
