General Motors has unveiled a tantalizing concept for the Chevrolet Corvette EV, offering a sneak peek into what could be the next generation of this iconic sports car.
Designed by GM’s new advanced studio in Royal Leamington Spa, UK, the concept aims to position the Corvette for sales in the UK and Europe, showcasing a blank-page approach to its design and engineering.
The futuristic style of the Corvette EV cleverly incorporates traditional design elements, such as the split rear window, reminiscent of the 1963 Corvette Stingray.

However, it also showcases a modern supercar aesthetic that draws parallels with leading models from Ferrari and Porsche. The gull-wing doors not only enhance the vehicle’s visual appeal but evoke comparisons to the Porsche Mission X hypercar concept.
Measuring 4,669 mm in length, 2,178 mm in width, and just 1,03 mm in height, this concept stands out with dimensions that make it slightly larger but significantly lower than the current Corvette C8. This aligns its sizing with that of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, a nod to GM’s intent to compete with high-performance electric vehicles.
Incorporating cutting-edge aerodynamics, the Corvette EV design prioritizes efficiency and performance, both on the racetrack and the open road. Its chassis, inspired by racecars, features a pushrod suspension setup, while functional intakes and vents are integrated to enhance range and control during high-speed maneuvers. Notably, added aerodynamic features like dorsal fins are designed to provide better handling when cornering at speed.
While GM has stated there is no immediate production intention behind this concept, it is expected to influence future Corvette iterations as part of their global design initiative. Enthusiasts and industry experts alike are eager to see whether this glimpse into a potential electric future for the Corvette will materialize in the coming years.
