Google+ users on Android can look forward to an update later today. Senior Vice President of Engineering for Google, Vic Gundotra, announced on Google+ that the new Android app would be getting synced notifications and an updated navigation drawer that’s “more consistent with other Google apps. This may mean that the navigation drawer can be accessed by swiping in from the side.
Notification sync means that all of your notifications will be synced across your Android devices. Dismissing a notification on one device will dismiss it everywhere else. No more repeated notifications!
Google is also listening to user feedback about the Google+ app. Android users will finally be able to delete photos from the Photos view. Users will also be able to show the number of +1’s, comments, and reshares just by tapping on a post.
Android users can look forward to the update later today in the Google Play store. iOS users are left out for now but the company plans to bring over these updates to Apple’s mobile operating system soon.
