We’ve been talking about GTA 6 for the last 5 years of our lives. And just days before Rockstar shows us something from the highly anticipated game for the first time, Netflix has pulled a stunning announcement out of the hat: GTA Trilogy is coming to their gaming service.

GTA 6 Trailer is here WATCH NOW

As we were saying, Netflix has announced that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will join its ever-expanding and impressive game list just in time to get ahead of the hype surrounding the announcement of GTA 6.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition (or GTA Trilogy for simplicity) is a remaster of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.

How to play GTA on mobile and when it arrives on Netflix

Players can pre-register for the games starting today on iOS and Google Play. It will be available on the Netflix mobile app and will be offered separately to Netflix subscribers on the App Store and Google Play.

Netflix can’t or doesn’t want to stop offering some of the most significant titles on its streaming service. Among these are Kentucky Route Zero, Before Your Eyes, the two Oxenfree games, Immortality, Spiritfarer, and Dead Cells.

Next year, Katana Zero, Death’s Door, and Hades will arrive. It’s not the largest collection of games, but the selection is a real success, especially considering that many of these games are exclusively offered for mobiles through a Netflix subscription.

Recent reports have suggested that Netflix games are not played by a significant portion of its user base, and Netflix has never released any information about who plays what and what their most popular games are.

But it seems that Netflix is banking on success by offering commercially successful titles with well-known names that cover a wide range of tastes and experiences.

The GTA trilogy, a collection of games from one of the most popular franchises in video game history, appears to be another significant addition to a service that has seen nothing but major acquisitions in its two years of existence.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be available for Netflix subscribers on iOS and Android through the Netflix mobile app on December 14th.
