It is still absurd how the mechanics of swimming is one of the most attention-grabbing since time immemorial. Along with petting pets, we could say that it is the other most curious activity that users ask themselves when a game comes out. The Last One: Hogwarts Legacy.

The title set in the Harry Potter universe will be released in just two weeks (February 10) for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and PC. As this day approaches, players are learning more details about the adventure, from what house we will have to choose from to, as in today’s case: we will be able to swim without any problem.

As you can see in the video above, swimming will be a game mechanic. In fact, the magician seen in the video seamlessly dives into the lake combining both slow and faster swimming. In other words: when you fall into the water you won’t die, just like in Assassin’s Creed 1, for example.

And petting pets, too

We said in the first paragraph that the other mechanic that always attracts attention in video games has to do with petting the dogs, cats or animals that appear. This activity is so curious that there is even a Twitter account dedicated to it with tens of thousands of followers (and that registers all the games that allow this).

In Hogwarts Legacy we are going to be able to pet animals, indeed. In the video shared below you can see a wizard petting a cat. It is unknown, however, if we will be able to touch more different animals from the Harry Potter universe (beyond riding the hippogriff), although if we had to bet on something, our answer would be yes. The game has enough controversy around it without these little details.
