On September 6th, we will finally be able to enjoy Starfield, the highly anticipated production from Bethesda that has been in development for almost a decade (since the first ideas were presented). After the game announced yesterday that it has gone gold, the company also revealed an important detail: we can download and play Starfield before the mentioned September 6th release date.
How to download Starfield
There are not many mysteries at this point. After yesterday’s announcement, all you need to do starting from today, August 17th, is go to the Xbox store and start downloading Starfield. That’s it, as simple as that.
Whether you have purchased the game or you’re playing it through Xbox Game Pass, pre-download is now available. The total size is 139.84 GB, so if you’re planning to play Starfield, starting the download becomes an essential task, especially considering that it’s common for launch patches to be released a few days before the launch date.
The PC version, on the other hand, will not be available for download until August 30th, so you’ll need to wait a bit to get your hands on it.
How to play Starfield before
Alright, we’ve already told you how to download Starfield, but now we’re going to tell you how to play Starfield before the official release date. Yes, you can actually play the game a few days earlier.
To be exact, players can access Starfield starting from September 1st. To do so, you need to get your hands on one of these three editions:
- Starfield Premium Edition
- Starfield Premium Edition Upgrade
- Starfield Constellation Edition
Only by acquiring one of these versions will you be able to play Starfield in advance. For the rest, you’ll have to wait until the 6th…
