According to reports from Bloomberg, Disney is actively developing an X-Files spin-off series with Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) as the director.

We still don’t know more information about what this series will be about, not even if David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will appear in any way as their iconic characters. However, considering that every time something has been done about The X-Files they have been willing to return, it wouldn’t be surprising if they appeared in some way in this new series.
