Kia has officially unveiled two innovative electric van concepts, the Spielraum Studio and Spielraum Glow, at the recent 2025 Seoul Mobility Show. These cutting-edge models, based on Kia’s PV5, are crafted to elevate the camping experience and redefine mobile living.
With a commitment to merging functionality with technology, Kia aims to offer versatile solutions for outdoor enthusiasts and remote workers alike.
The Spielraum Studio is designed as a mobile workspace, featuring advanced LG Electronics appliances like smart mirrors and coffee makers.

Powered by AI, the system can even optimize the use of these appliances based on travel duration, ensuring that whether you’re working or relaxing, your needs are met efficiently. In contrast, the Spielraum Glow transforms the PV5 into a fully-fledged camper van, complete with modern amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave, and even a dedicated wine cellar for those extended trips.
The PV5 measures 4,695 mm in length and comes equipped with a substantial 71.2 kWh battery pack, providing up to 400 km (approximately 249 miles) of driving range. Fast charging capabilities allow the van to recharge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes, making it a practical choice for road trips.
Kia plans to launch the production versions of the Spielraum electric vans in Europe and Korea in the latter half of 2026, with a global rollout expected shortly thereafter. This lineup will include several configurations, including passenger, cargo, and chassis cab setups, alongside plans for a Light Camper model.
With the introduction of these concepts, Kia not only showcases its vision for electric mobility but also paves the way for intelligent living on the go, appealing to an audience eager for modern convenience in their travels. As the automotive landscape continues to shift towards electric vehicles, Kia’s Spielraum models could be a game changer for those who cherish freedom and adventure.
