While Disney Plus continues to make changes to its Marvel series, Loki continues with a new episode each week. The series starring Tom Hiddleston is one of the most acclaimed in Marvel’s history, and undoubtedly the second season is proving to be on par with the first. However, there are already many who are getting ahead of themselves and asking, ‘Will there be a third season?’
Certainly, when the first season concluded, it was more than clear that there would be a second one, as the cliffhanger with which it ended made it very clear. But what about this second season? It seems it will have a closed ending, but anything can happen, or at least that’s what executive producer Kevin Wright confirmed in an interview with Collider.
If there is a third season of Loki, it will be very different
In the interview, Kevin Wright has made it clear that there are indeed possibilities for a third season of Loki, especially considering it is Marvel’s most successful series on Disney Plus. However, this is contingent upon certain conditions:
“It has happened similarly to season 1, in the sense that we wanted to tell this story and tell it well, but even in season 1, we were already thinking about where we were going. I would say that season 1 and season 2 have been developed and created as two chapters of the same book. We feel that season 2 is about closing that book, but there are many other books on the shelves for this character and this world. Still, this is the conclusion of the significant things we established in season 1. We don’t want to constantly leave people with drastic cliffhangers for our endings.”
So there you have it: if there is a third part of Loki, it will be very different from what we have seen so far. But it’s clear, considering what we have seen up to this point, that there is much more to be revealed about Loki.
