But this event quickly turns into a nightmare: the venue is surrounded by an impressive security detail led by the FBI, in search of a serial killer known as “The Butcher”… who turns out to be Cooper himself.
Shyamalan in his element
In Trap, Shyamalan unfolds one of his high-tension plots where the protagonist must navigate between maintaining the facade of an exemplary father and his identity as a lethal assassin, while his daughter enjoys the show without suspecting anything. Despite having only a 50% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it is a very unusual proposal in cinema that is worth watching.
