Minecraft was missing something: Hello Kitty and her friends

The popularity of Minecraft continues to rise, and its latest addition, the new Hello Kitty and Friends DLC, allows players to build a charming farm filled with crops and animals, as well as featuring iconic characters from the Hello Kitty franchise. Players will have the opportunity to plant and harvest various crops, as well as raise animals like chickens, cows, sheep, and pigs, which provide valuable resources such as eggs, milk, and wool.

A DLC Full of the Cutest Content

An interesting feature of the DLC is the inclusion of a multicolored festival, known as the Cherry Blossom Festival, as well as other festive events like Halloween and the Fireworks Festival. This content not only adds a social and festive dimension to the game but also presents seasonal changes that beautify the landscape and keep players interested. However, they must be alert to natural disasters such as typhoons and heatwaves, which could harm their crops.

The DLC also introduces more than 180 pieces of Hello Kitty-themed furniture and decoration, featuring iconic elements like the Badtz-Maru chair and the Tuxedo Sam table. Additionally, players can dress their characters in a Hello Kitty costume, complete with the iconic red bow and blue overalls. This content is available for a cost of 1510 Minecoins, equivalent to approximately 10 to 12 dollars.

The cultural phenomenon of Hello Kitty doesn’t stop here, as the brand will have its own video game, Hello Kitty: Island Adventure, which will be released on PC and Switch in January 2024. On the other hand, the creator of Minecraft, Notch, has hinted that he might be considering a spiritual successor to the game, although he expressed skepticism about whether it could offer the same fun as his original masterpiece, which he sold to Microsoft in 2014 for 2.5 billion dollars.
