Monster Hunter Wilds receives its first free update packed with content

The hunting in the world of Monster Hunter Wilds is about to intensify with the arrival of a new free update, scheduled for April 4, 2025. Capcom has revealed a series of exciting content that will be added to the game, including the introduction of three new monsters: Mizutsune, Zoh Shia, and Rey Dau, which promises to keep hunters busy in their adventures.

Mizutsune, the hunters haven’t missed you

Mizutsune, a leviathan that attacks with debilitating bubbles, will require players to reach at least rank 21 to face him. For its part, Zoh Shia will return to the game, allowing hunters to challenge him beyond his appearance in the story, although it will also require a rank of 50. The third addition, Rey Dau, will be a reformed challenge for high-level hunters, available starting April 30, 2025, coinciding with the accompanying event.

In addition to the new monsters, the update will include the Main Hall, a social environment that will be unlocked at rank 16, where players can participate in mini-games and arena missions. This new area will also offer seasonal events, starting with the Harmony Festival: Flower Dance, scheduled from April 23 to May 7, with unique rewards available for hunters.

Rumors suggest that even more exciting content is on the way: Capcom has hinted that during the summer of 2025, a highly anticipated monster will be revealed to the community, which is likely the iconic Lagiacrus, known for being the protagonist of Monster Hunter 3. With the growing excitement for what is to come, players won’t want to miss these new adventures that will expand the universe of Monster Hunter Wilds.
