Path of Exile 2 will receive a new update full of content

Grinding Gear Games has announced the Dawn of the Hunt update for Path of Exile 2, which will be released on April 4. This will be the first major early access content for the popular action RPG. This update will introduce a new class, the Huntress, characterized by using a spear and having the ability to tame beasts as companions. The Huntress has both melee and ranged combat skills, promising an exciting hybrid gameplay experience.

An update that greatly expands the possibilities of the game

Among the new features are new types of maps, mechanics, and object creation systems. The towers, central elements of the endgame, are reconfigured to facilitate map preparation, reducing their number and increasing the effectiveness of each one. Additionally, players will be able to re-enter a map after dying, with a limit on attempts, which has significant implications for gameplay and the game’s trading system.

The update also adds three new ancestries for existing classes: Warrior, Mercenary, and Witch. The Hunter will feature two new subclasses that will allow for even more customization of characters and their playstyle. With a focus on character building, more than 100 new support gems and unique items will be introduced, especially aimed at mid and end-game builds.

One of the most interesting aspects is the incorporation of a new league mechanism that will allow players to chase wisps, entities that will present new challenges and rewards as they get closer. With this, GGG aims to improve progression and make the endgame more appealing. The Dawn of the Hunt update promises to revitalize the game and provide new reasons to dive back into the world of Path of Exile 2.
