Hogwarts Legacy has undoubtedly been one of the phenomena of this month of February 2023. The title has sold more than 12 million copies in its first two weeks and earned more than 850 million dollars. Dizzying figures to which are added tens of thousands of players across all platforms. But it has a contender: Sons of the Forest.
Just when we thought that Hogwarts Legacy would close this month as the most played game, suddenly Endnight Games‘ title has stolen the wizards’ title’s place. That is to say, in addition to the two million titles sold in its first 24 hours, the survival game has gotten in more than 250,000 concurrent users (they have simultaneously played Sons of the Forest).
Despite this incredible success, the video game from the people of Endnight has not been able to beat the two titans of the platform, which are Counter Strike Global Offensive and DOTA 2. These were first and second respectively, but it is quite a milestone that could overcome the people of Hogwarts Legacy with their numbers.
We must not forget that these numbers are achieved, moreover, with an Early Access version that is far from what will be the final quality of the game. Therefore, we hope that the high numbers will be maintained over time.
