The actor who brings to life the protagonist of Gears 4 and Gears 5, JD Fenix, may have hinted that Xbox has plans regarding Gears of War 6 to announce at the brand’s presentation in early June (what we used to know as the E3 era).
After several rumors, Microsoft confirmed its Xbox Showcase in June through a series of tweets earlier this year. And while no further details have been revealed about this event, the latest reports and insider claims suggest that Gears of War 6 could be present at the fair.
Since Gears 5 from 2019 is the most recent installment of the franchise, fans are hungry for news about one of Xbox’s most beloved sagas, and on Twitter a fan asked JD Fenix’s actor about the character’s death in Gears 5.
In the absence of an official announcement, the game’s actors are good
Interestingly, the actor who plays JD in the game, Liam McIntyre, responded that he doesn’t know what will happen to JD in a new Gears, but he believes that more information about the game will be shared during the Xbox Showcase this June.
Although this doesn’t confirm that we will hear about Gears 6 during the event, it would make sense for Microsoft to mention the game. After all, it has been five years since Gears 5 and we haven’t heard anything official about a new Gears title. In any case, let’s hope so.
Liam McIntyre was in charge of voicing JD Fenix in both Gears of War 4 and Gears of War 5. Some may know the Australian actor for his role as Spartacus in the second and third seasons of the television series Spartacus.
We will keep you informed as soon as we know more about the Gears franchise. For now, stay tuned.
