Once again, Nintendo continues to showcase its fight against piracy. One of the most popular Nintendo Switch emulators, Ryujinx, has been taken down from GitHub. The reason? A warning from Nintendo.
In a post on the official emulator account, we saw a message from Ryujinx developer, riperiperi, who communicated via Discord that his colleague gdkchan was “contacted by Nintendo.” According to him, “they offered him a deal to stop working on the project” and remove everything related to the software.
Although the result of the negotiation is not public, what we do know is that the emulator has been removed from the GitHub repositories. An end that, although not officially confirmed, is probably just a matter of hours.
The veterans in the world of Switch emulation will remember how the creators of Yuzu had to pay 2.4 million dollars to resolve their dispute with the Big N.
