We have fresh new details about the Nintendo Switch 2 that the company will announce in its next Direct presentation, scheduled for April 2 at 9 AM ET. This event is one of the most anticipated by fans, as significant revelations about the new system are expected, following an initial preview that showed features like the improved Joy-Cons, which include a new mouse sensor. However, the launch titles for the Switch 2 have not yet been communicated.

With a New Mario Kart, They Would Win Over the Audience
The president of Nintendo, Shuntaro Furukawa, has assured that the price of the Switch 2 will meet the expectations of its customers, although a specific figure has not yet been determined. Our concept of affordable, therefore, may differ greatly from theirs. This aspect is particularly relevant given the context of potential tariffs in the U.S. and the ongoing chip shortage, which affected the availability of the original model in 2022.
In addition to the Direct presentation, Nintendo has announced that it will hold global preview events during the same week, allowing players to have a hands-on experience and gain more clarity about the new product. These preview sessions are considered key to alleviating the uncertainty generated by the lack of concrete information.
As for the titles that could accompany the launch of the Switch 2, it is rumored that Mario Kart 9 might be among them. This new title could pay homage to the franchise’s history, as a nostalgic design for the character of Princess Peach has been presented, nodding to her original outfit in the game. As the date of the Direct approaches, the anticipation and excitement among the gaming community continue to grow, leaving everyone wondering what surprises Nintendo will have in store.
