An update is coming to Halo Infinite this spring, as it will receive an exciting update introducing the new Fuel Rod SPNKr weapon, which has been modified by the Banished faction. This new armament resembles the classic Fuel Rod Cannon, but unlike it, it will not bounce off targets, acting more like a traditional rocket launcher. With the Fuel Rod SPNKr, players will be able to experience renewed gameplay with powerful explosives and a behavior more familiar to fans of the saga.

In addition to this new weapon, Halo Studios, formerly known as 343 Industries, has confirmed that the update will include the return of a classic game mode: Assault mode, originally from Halo 2. Along with this, the Coliseum map from Halo 5 will be remastered, promising to provide new experiences for players. This effort to revitalize the game also extends to a new SMG, the MA5K Avenger, which was added late last year, demonstrating a commitment to enriching the Halo Infinite experience with fresh content.

In a related note, Halo Studios is in the midst of multiple new projects, given its recent switch to the Unreal Engine 5, which represents a new chapter for the franchise. Project Foundry, a training tool that envisions the future of Halo, has been mentioned, although no specific details about the new titles in development were provided. While there are rumors that old Halo games and a possible remake of Halo: Combat Evolved could be released on PlayStation 5, there are no official confirmations regarding this.

There is very little time left for this update, but in the meantime, the dedication of Halo Studios to add new elements reflects a continuous commitment to the evolution and expansion of the Halo universe.
