In a recent article, we showed some changes that appeared in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. One of these caused alarm and excitement among players as the building of structures vanished. If datamining reports are correct, it seems like the No-Build mode in Fortnite isn’t going away after all.

That doesn’t mean the staple form to building structures isn’t coming back. As indicated by popular Fortnite source HYPEX, it looks like Epic Games will be including the No-Build feature as a separate mode. You’ll be able to switch between the two as you please, which will probably make both camps, for and against it, happy.

Let’s take a look at the mixed reactions for a moment. On the one side, you have the skilled players who have been practicing building walls, floors, and ceilings since Fortnite launched. They used these structures to defend themselves when under attack, to resurrect party members, and to quickly heal themselves.

On the other hand, it’s completely annoying when you’re blasting away at an enemy and they’re close to dying when suddenly a wall appears and you have to move around it or break it down. Beginners and Call of Duty fans who are too stubborn to master the building mechanics will praise the No-Build mode.

It appears that Epic Games wants to attract new players for both camps, and so we applaud this decision to retain the No-Build mode in Fortnite. Of course, it hasn’t been confirmed as yet, but it would be an excellent move if the developers move in that direction. It will be interesting to see how it affects quests, especially like the ones we saw in Chapter 3 Season 1 where you had to reach items hovering in the sky.

Until then, we’re still waiting to hear more about the Billie Eilish concert coming to Fortnite, which should be quite an extravagant affair.
