The Apple Arcade collection is growing day by day. Apple is surprisingly adding games on a regular basis while others are collected in the form of new releases before they become available. Among a growing catalog, a very useful option of the platform is to receive a notification when a certain game we are interested in becomes available.

Notification, download and ready to play

In the Coming Soon section of the Arcade tab of the App Store app, we find a considerable list of titles that are preparing to arrive on the platform. It is clear that we can check the catalog regularly to see what’s new, but it is easier for the service to alert us directly. To receive such an alert these are the steps to follow:

  1. We open the App Store app on our iPhone, iPad or Mac.
  2. Go to the Arcade tab.
  3. We scroll to the bottom, to the Coming Soon section.
  4. We tap the Get button on the game we are interested in.
  5. In the case of Mac we press OK.

After touching the corresponding button the system will notify us with the following message: “We will notify you when this game is available. It will be downloaded automatically”. A very clear message, once the game is available it will be automatically downloaded to all our devices and we will be notified of it (unless we have Do Not Disturb mode active) so we can take a look at it.

A very simple system that Apple already has implemented in movies, albums, pieces of Apple Music Classical and other content that we can purchase through its digital stores. A system that allows us that, after discovering a certain title, we no longer have to be aware of its release until we start playing it.
