In recent times, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s leather jacket has become a cult phenomenon within tech culture. Known for its distinctive style, this garment has been the subject of imitations that are offered in various online stores under the appealing title of ‘Jensen Huang’s black leather jacket’. What many do not know is that these jackets are nothing more than imitations sold at prices around 100 dollars.

These stores operate under a dropshipping model, meaning they buy products in Asia at a very low cost and resell them without having their own inventory. This model has become popular in e-commerce, taking advantage of the trend of Huang’s jacket to attract unsuspecting buyers. Authentic jackets, on the other hand, are from the Tom Ford brand and can cost up to $10,000, which represents a galaxy of difference from the counterfeits.
Additionally, some observers have noted that the prices of Huang’s jacket have experienced fluctuations that seem to correlate with the performance of Nvidia’s stock. For example, during CES, the price of the jacket was $8,990 when the stock was at $149.43, while at later events, the price of the garment dropped to $6,990 along with a decline in stock prices. This curious phenomenon has led some to speculate about a possible relationship between the two variables.
Jensen Huang’s leather jacket has reached iconic tech status, similar to Steve Jobs’ turtleneck or Mark Zuckerberg’s jeans. Its popularity has led to a proliferation of online stores trying to capitalize on its fame, although many of them do not offer genuine products and merely take advantage of the trend of the moment. Meanwhile, his company has more than a few problems.
