Oh no, bullets trans: Call of Duty fans are getting angry over tremendous nonsense during Pride month
Transphobia at gunpoint!

That the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and hip-hop singers are fighting in Call of Duty is one thing, but… Human rights? Yes, man, that’s where we draw the line. In the midst of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, Activision has decided to release a free pack with cosmetic enhancements to celebrate what’s appropriate. Kind of like putting the rainbow flag on your Twitter avatar. Do you think this optional and free detail has been well received by everyone? Haha, of course not.
Is anyone going to think about FPS players?
The thing is that one of these cosmetic improvements paints the bullets of one of the guns with the blue, pink, and white colors of the trans flag. No, it doesn’t do anything else, it doesn’t turn the characters into members of the movement, or anything like that. Of course, that hasn’t been an excuse to launch silly and ignorant conspiracy theories or to be outraged by the existence of homosexual people in 2024.
More specifically, the trans flag, if you decide to apply it to your weapon, will paint your weapon with a glitter version of the colors and add the bullets of the cartridge to that pattern on the M4, and only on the M4. Furthermore, the madness doubles: the bullets in question only appear with the trans flag if you spent 100 euros on having the Armory Edition of Modern Warfare 3 and crafted the version of the M4 called “Soul Harvester.” It’s probably just a simple bug, but come on: we couldn’t go any further!
Come on, it’s something very specific that wouldn’t even be worth mentioning, except by the most transphobic people around. However, we can’t let things slide, and on Twitter -where else- they have started saying all sorts of nonsense about it, while Activision wisely remains silent, waiting for this little storm of pure absurdity from the 17th century to pass. And no, trans people are not going to disappear. And yes, Pride is here to stay. That’s how it is, Modern Warfare 3 players. Either you evolve, or you get evolved.
