The organization Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), better known for its relentless fight against piracy, has announced today the closure of one of the largest sports piracy websites in the world. In fact, they have achieved this feat with the help of DAZN, the popular sports platform that provided significant information in this regard.

In a comprehensive statement that can be read here, the organization pointed out that the closed site was watchwrestling.ai, a portal that accumulated over 250 million visits in the past year. All the content was accessible through IPTV (which is legal, let’s not forget, what is prohibited is broadcasting paid channels), and users accessed mainly from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

While one might think of football or basketball, the main pirated content was related to combat sports, specifically boxing and MMA. In this regard, as is well known, DAZN holds significant relevance, which is why its CEO has expressed satisfaction for everything achieved during this latest intervention.

It’s worth noting that the operator of this pirate website was not located in a European or North American country but resided in Uttar Pradesh, India. ACE contacted the operator and exerted pressure to cease their activity. After the necessary legal actions, the owner transferred the domain to ACE, including all the derived subdomains where other contents were also being broadcast.

As a curiosity, anyone attempting to access this portal now will see the ACE’s statement on the homepage. It’s a clear declaration of the organization’s intention to continue fighting against such sites.
