If you are one of the few that own a PlayStation Certified device from Sony, Sharp, or HTC, PlayStation Mobile is releasing six games over the next six weeks as a New Year Giveaway. When PlayStation Network updates, they will announced which game is free. Then on Wednesday, a new, free PlayStation Mobile game is available for download through the PlayStation Mobile Android app. PlayStation Vita owners can also download the free game of the week from the PlayStation Mobile section of the PlayStation Store.
The first game available is Samurai Beatdown, a side-scrolling game where you tap to the beat of the song to defeat ninjas, samurai, and flying monsters. It was an early PlayStation Mobile release and now you can experience it for free.
It’s unknown what else Sony will offer for free over the next five weeks on PlayStation Mobile, but it will be smart to keep an eye out. The library is expanding on supported titles for both PlayStation Certified and PlayStation Vita devices.
