A lone rider. A dystopian world. A land that’s gone to waste. These are the opening lines of Raya and The Last Dragon, the latest Disney gem that, as of this past June 4, is free to watch for all Disney+ subscribers.
Inspired by the legends and culture of Southeast Asia, this new classic invites us on an epic adventure to rebuild a shattered world in which action, drama and humor come together to deliver an extraordinary film.
In search of the legendary dragon
Raya and The Last Dragon follows the adventures of Princess Raya, one of the last survivors in a world ravaged by the Drunn. Her only hope is to find Sisu, a legendary dragon who saved humanity from these creatures in the past. But Raya will need a lot more than magic to bring the utopian kingdom of Kumandra back to life. She’ll have to recover her trust in others and learn that by working together, you can accomplish any feat.

A journey through the magical kingdom of Kumandra
Since its release, this film has been praised for both its exciting story and its astonishing atmosphere. Raya must travel through five kingdoms to track down the different parts of the dragons’ gem. Each land has a unique look, design and ecosystem, resulting in a real feast for the eyes and an amazing way of traveling without leaving your living room.
