The Walking Dead is one of the most successful series of the last decades, and despite suffering a significant decline after its first seasons, it has always remained among the most watched television fiction. Its main series, however, ended some time ago, in 2022, and now it can only be followed through its subsequent programs.

The most anticipated of all of them is The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, a series that directly continues the story of the adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comics. In it, we will see Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira reprise their roles as Rick and Michonne, and it is undoubtedly a clamor for fans of two of the most acclaimed characters in this zombie universe. Now its trailer has been released, and it looks spectacular:

The ending Rick deserves

My wife is my choice. My daughter is my choice. My life is my choice“, Rick makes it clear in the AMC teaser. This series will be about how Rick and Michonne search for each other years after separating. The last we knew about the protagonist of The Walking Dead is that a military force took him away in a helicopter after being presumed dead in an explosion. But these same military forces will be the ones standing in Rick’s way as he searches for Michonne, being even more dangerous enemies than the zombies themselves.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live presents itself as “an epic love story of two characters transformed by a changing world, separated by distance; by an unstoppable force; and by the ghosts of who they once were.” Undoubtedly, it seems like it will be a beautiful conclusion to a story that has gone through all kinds of moments and that finally seems to have its well-deserved ending.
