In the fourth quarter 2024 earnings report from Take-Two, the company indicated when players can expect the next installment of the GTA series. Yes, because GTA 6 is the most anticipated title of the decade… since the past decade.
What was once a very vague date, Rockstar has now made it clear in which season of the year we will see the highly anticipated GTA 6 released to the market. So, dear readers, mark the autumn of 2025 as the window in which Take-Two will release GTA 6 to the world.
“As we enter fiscal year 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to achieve net revenue between $5.550 and $5.650 billion. Our forecasts reflect a narrowing of the previously established window by Rockstar Games from Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI,” begins the letter from Take-Two.
“We fully trust that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations regarding the commercial impact of the title continue to increase,” they conclude to the shareholders.
And GTA 5 reaches 200 million copies sold
In other news related to GTA, the company has reported that GTA V has sold 200 million copies: an astonishing feat, making the game the second best-selling title of all time, but still 100 million copies away from the number one, Minecraft.
Aside from a trailer (which unfortunately leaked ahead of time), Rockstar has not shared any more details about the most anticipated game of this decade. There are also rumors that the studio is planning a PC release of the original Red Dead Redemption, but for now, nothing is known about it.
