Barbie has become an unprecedented hit

Barbie has become one of the most important cultural phenomena of this year. Not only has it blown up the box office, being on the verge of reaching $1 billion in box office, but it has also achieved great critical acclaim, with an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and 84% audience acceptance.

Gerwig has undoubtedly become one of the figures of the moment thanks to her good work with Barbie and, of course, with her previous films. It remains to be seen how this will be reflected in the future of her career, although we already know that she has signed with Netflix to direct the adaptations of The Chronicles of Narnia, so it is clear that C.S. Lewis’ fantasy saga is in good hands.
