Samsung’s Wallet app finally arrives on Google Play but don’t rush out to download it just yet. The app only works a select number of Samsung Galaxy branded devices, including the Galaxy S III, S 4, Note, and Note II. It seems Samsung wants to keep Samsung Wallet an exclusive app for its hardware only.

While Samsung Wallet may sound like a Google Wallet competitor, it actually lacks NFC integration for payment. Samsung Wallet is much more of an Apple Passbook competitor with the ability to save your membership cards, coupons, flight tickets, and more. Users can also sign up to receive co-marketing offers when they sign up for a service within the app.

It is handy that Samsung Wallet provides location-based reminders, but its functionality seems a bit limited. Currently, the app has a rating of 2.6/5 stars in Google Play, with many users reporting bugs, limited retailers, and poor UI.
